What is a consultation request?

A consultation request is simply a request by a startup to get to know your potential lawyer better. There is no commitment required by either party prior to participating in a consultation, and consultations are not meant to be forums to receive or provide legal advice. Making a consultation request

Once you find an attorney you'd like to meet, you can request a consultation by clicking into their profile or clicking the "Request consultation" button on their profile card on the search page.

You may add additional context to your request, such as you legal needs, your company history, and anything else that might be relevant. Don't share anything you'd like to keep under privilege, as our platform is not designed for attorney's to provide legal advice through. So keep your initial requests fairly high level!

The lawyer will see something like this, and will choose to accept or decline the request:

If your consultation is accepted, you will then be able to schedule a consultation with the lawyer!
